During my free time I experiment with a number of media production tools. I enjoy working with 3d modelling and animation and use open-source software called 'Blender'.
Created for a University animation unit, this video demonstrates a possible use for advanced technologies and virtual reality interfaces.
This video was designed and rendered with the intention of being shown using a large scale 3d projection system, simliar to IMAX. This clip is a shortend, 'trailerised', version intended to be viewed on a standard computer monitor.
I wanted to create a new wallpaper for myself and so created this. The idea was that the cubes were flying at the camera.
I created this image using the Raytracing capabilities of Blender. Notice the caustics and DOF effect. These are features of the renderer Yafray which has recently been included with Blender.
